The Internet In A Blog Post: July 2016 Edition

A Style SoireeI run into super fun, funny and creative things online and sometimes I don’t get around to watching a whole YouTube video, or reading a full article. As a mama on the go, sometimes I wish I had a go-to spot where I could quickly look through interesting and informational items for the week, or the month, without having to browse absolutely everything. About two months ago, I noticed a post on Chatelaine Magazine’s Facebook page about a casting call for mothers and daughters as they were looking to examine the unique relationship for a special in their May issue. Little did I know that my email would catch the attention of the team at Chatelaine Magazine and that I would receive a response with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The results? My mom and I are featured and sharing intimate details about our relationship in the May 2016 issue of Chatelaine Magazine!

Having a sick baby is really tough! The hardest part has to be that they cannot communicate what they’re feeling; making it hard for mama and the baby. Do they have a headache? Are they having a hard time breathing? What are they truly feeling? I try my best to communicate with Zoey and help her feel better any way I can. I did have to find out the hard way as to how to deal with a sick baby. As she is my first, this is all new to me. I’m sure there are many more mamas out there wondering what to do to help their babies too.

Family Day Activities 2016

I am SO excited for this long weekend! Saturdays and Sundays fly by and I find myself wishing for a day in between; and it has also been TOO long since the last long weekend. I’m particularly excited about this year as we’ll be able to do something fun with our little lady! Last year, she was still too little to truly enjoy any activities in the city. While I was looking for Family Day activities for this weekend, I ran into so many wonderful options. I wish we could make it to all of them!
