I’ve been prepping my skin for my vacation and trying my best to be as blemish-free as possible. Unfortunately, I suffer from stress-induced acne and it sucks! As I’ve been planning for my upcoming vacay, work and mommy life has gotten chaotic and I’ve been trying me best to keep it together. As much as I look like I’ve got it handled on the outside, the small little friends that have popped up on my skin are saying otherwise. Luckily, MaskerAide’s new Spotted! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches came to the rescue!
MaskerAide Spotted! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches
About a week ago I received a gift for my friends at MaskerAide that could not have come at a better time. As I plan for vacation, I tend to follow a routine of making sure my skin, face and body, is looking its very best; unfortunately, right before I received the package from MaskerAide I had begun to break out a little on my cheeks. I, like the celebrity on the Spotted! packaging, was experiencing my very own crisis.
I aim for glowing skin. That is my thing. Even on my most tired days, I make sure my skin is radiant. As you may know, stress-induced acne doesn’t help at all; this is especially inevitable when you’re an on-the-go mommy. So I put the MaskerAide Spotted! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches to the test:
I was so curious to see how these babies worked. I read about the ingredients, love that they do not include any parabens or artificial fragrances or pigments, and appreciate that they come in multiple sizes. They package contains 12 dots that you can place over each (or a small cluster) blemish. I took a picture (below) so you can hopefully get a better idea of the sizing.
I placed the dots over each of the blemishes, starting with the cluster forming on my cheek. I honestly thought I wasn’t going to use all 12 and wondered as to how I would store the remaining dots; however I used them all anyways. They are like dry little stickers, which made me even more curious as to how they work exactly. You can tell that they do have product on them but since it is dry it’s so easy to apply.
Can you see the reflective little dot in the image above? They aren’t even noticeable, but do they ever work! I put them on before bed and removed them the morning after. As I removed them, I looked down at the little dot to see if there was any change. It was so cool! (Because I’m gross… lol) I noticed that each dot had my pores outlined and that it had removed a ton of dirt. I immediately noticed that my blemishes were significantly less red and swollen. It had minimized the blemishes. It worked!
I tried my best to show the changes in the pictures above. The left is of me before bed, and the second is the morning after when I removed the dots. You can definitely see that they are less red and swollen. It didn’t make them disappear overnight, but I wasn’t expecting that either. One thing I was delighted about though, is that I am able to very easily disguise them with a little concealer.
See?! A little Nars Skin Tint and Nars Radiant Concealer and all gone. The look above is a quick and easy glowing skin look, and it includes:
- e.l.f. Mineral Infused Face Primer
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown
- NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint in Cuzco
- NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Biscuit
- Tarte Park Ave Princess Contour Palette
- NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien
My skin is truly glowing today! I had to put the most minimal amount of concealer to cover up the blemishes, and I didn’t even have to use any colour corrector either. Will I be purchasing the MaskerAide Spotted! Anti-Blemish Clear Spot Patches once the gift ones I received run out? Most definitely.
