Did you know that Well.ca has a store in Toronto? The online shop has a physical location at Shops At Don Mills which opened earlier this summer to the public. This is perfect for those who aren’t sure about online shopping just yet, or for those that want to see the products for themselves before buying some more online. I was invited to the VIP Grand Opening of the shop and had a grand time; it was also my little Zo-Zo’s first media event and she (capital L) Loved it!
Well.ca Pop-Up Shop
If you haven’t shopped on Well.ca yet, you need to start now! I have been shopping with them since I discovered them on Ebates Canada early this year and I immediately fell in love. I best describe them as the perfect blend of Shoppers Drug Mart and Indigo; two of my favourite Canadian retailers. Their selection of products is unbelievable, they have constant sales, and their shipping services are A+. On my very first order I got my LO the famous Boogie Wipes and Huggies Little Swimmers diapers. I loved that there was free shipping with a minimum order of $29 and that I had the option of requesting they leave my package at my door when I’m not home. This is a big deal for me as I am a career mama, so I’m never home when the delivery person comes, and don’t always fancy having to pick up my packages at my busy local post office.
So it’s obvious, I love shopping online. However, there are a few items I have seen on the well.ca website that I would have ideally liked to see for myself before purchasing. The Well.ca Pop-up Shop did just that! It let me not only browse through a few items I would have liked to see up close and personal, but also discover many more items I had no idea about; such as this amazing Micro of Switzerland Mini Micro Sporty 3-in-1 Kickboard that Zoey fell in love with.
Below are a few images I took of the Well.ca Pop-up Shop which include some of the items you will find:
I was planning to make my way to the event right after work so I had to make sure to be ready first thing in the morning. I like to come to the office looking polished and refreshed. I go for a look that is put together but very natural. On this day, I decided to spice up my hair a little bit with an inverted french braid that went right across my head. This look is perfect if you don’t necessarily want to put your hair up but want your bangs or hair out of your face. This helps a ton when you’re in front of the computer most of the day like I am.
When doing my makeup, I focus mostly on my skin. I like for my skin to look smooth and glowing. I never go too crazy on spot coverage, unless it for a special event, as it is normal and natural in my eyes. If I have little time to do my makeup on any given day I at the very least do my eyebrows and add a little colour to my lips. For this look, I used the following items:
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz
- Elf Cosmetics Flawless Eyeshadow in Golden Goddess
- Benefit Cosmetics Cheekathon Blush & Bronzer Palette
- Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed in Champagne Pop
- Covergirl Clump Crusher Mascara in Very Black
- Kat Von D Studded Kiss Lipstick in Lolita
What I Bought
I’m sure you’re curious as to what I got that day at the Pop-Up Shop, because how can I go to an event like this and not buy anything?! I didn’t get too crazy but I did buy a few essentials that we use at home.
- The Honest Company Organic Lip Balm Trio
This was my first time buying these. However, I’ve been wanting to try them for a LONG time. Zoey is all about using mommy’s lipsticks and lip balms but I worry about her using the products I use, as not all of them are all natural and may have some questionable ingredients that may not be the best for a little one. So I went with Honest and organic on this one. So far, she loves them!
- The Honest Company Honest Bathroom Cleaner
This is the very first time buying this product as well, but I had done my fair bit of research on it. I’m very picky about soap scum and residue on the bathtub, especially now that Zoey takes her baths in it. I wanted a product that was natural based and free of harsh chemicals. I have been using it all summer and I am very impressed, it smells fabulous and melts off gross stuff that may build up on your tub.
- The Honest Company Organic Healing Balm
This is my holy grail product to prevent and cure diaper rashes. I discovered this by accident and cannot live without it! I could count with one hand the times my little princess has gotten a diaper rash thanks to this product. It works amazingly on any other skin irritations as well.
Thank You to Well.ca
I have to take a moment to thank the Well.ca team present that day at the Pop-up Shop VIP Grand Opening. You were all SO wonderful with my little Zoey and that means a ton to a mama, especially to me as I was nervous to bring her along to her first media event. You never know how a toddler is going to behave! You were all so incredibly kind. She was so incredibly happy and loved every second that we spent at the shop.
I also have to thank the team for the 100 grapes that they gave her from the delicious platters they had for the guests. She loved those too!
Here are a few more images of Zoey and I at the Well.ca Pop-Up Shop that were graciously taken by the team:
